It is thought that gingerbread originated from Greece over a thousand years ago and quickly became known and loved across most of Europe.  In Sweden, around the 15th century nuns used to make gingerbread (known as ‘pepper bread’) to ease digestion and was considered to possess healing properties.
 
Our gingerbread chocolate slabs have been created using Swedish gingerbread snaps and enrobed with our silky, smooth Belgian chocolate which gives a real sense of warmth during the festive season.
